Djoker stumped

Novak Djokovic’s surprise loss at Wimbledon to American Sam Querrey ends his attempt at a calendar Grand Slam. But he retains the top spot in men’s tennis. The match was surprising as it brought the first Grand Slam loss for Djokovic since last year’s French Open final and the first in 30 matches. The match caused the biggest upset of this season. But, to quote Scot Andy Murray, “Novak Djokovic losing on Saturday won’t have any bearing” on the players’ fortunes, pointing out to the depth of the match line-ups at Wimbledon this year.
