Diversionary ploy

The Modi government is trying to foist a baseless charge of corruption on those who are not connected with the AgustaWestland helicopter scam. The basis of the government’s malicious campaign of character assassination is the judgment of an Italian court. The truth is that the judgment does not indicate even the remotest possibility of the involvement of Sonia Gandhi or any other Congress leader. The Congress has maintained that it is ready for a Supreme Court-monitored CBI inquiry, but it is the Modi government that is refusing.
