Blame god

The Kolkata flyover collapse shows that India is run “Bhagwan bharose” and so one feels that the contractor of the flyover was right in calling the bridge collapse an “act of God”. As expected, the political blame-game is in full swing. With more than 20 people dead, heads must roll. After all, Kolkata is a metropolis and the fact that such tragedies can occur today in the heart of the city presents a poor picture of India to the world.
