Afridi not afraid

In response to your editorial, Afridi proves a point (March 16), I would like to say that Pakistan T-20 captain Shahid Afridi’s statement — “The love I have got in India is something that I will always remember. We have not got this much love even from Pakistan” — shows him to be a true ambassador of the game of cricket. This shows that sport transcends the divides of religion, parochialism and patriotism. The case filed against Afridi shows that like love for cricket, intolerance too is common on both sides of the border.
