AAP’s hubris

Delhi’s ruling AAP was dealt a blow when President Pranab Mukherjee refused to give his assent to a bill amending the law on office of profit with retrospective effect. Aimed at protecting the 21 MLAs appointed as parliamentary secretaries, the bill puts a question mark on AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal’s promise of transparent governance. The AAP can’t always play victim. It must admit its mistake in this matter
