Prime Ministers Narendra Modi and Nawaz Sharif, who recently met on the sidelines of the global climate change conference in Paris, are due to have another meeting on Sunday in Ashgabat, Turk-menistan, where they are due to attend the ground-breaking ceremony of a $10-billion pipeline that will supply gas to Pakistan, Afghanistan and India.

The pipeline, called TAPI, which will bring gas from energy-rich Turkmenistan, has the potential of turning into a game-changer in the region.

It is hoped that this key initiative will bring peace by linking South Asia with Central Asia and Europe.
