The prosecution in the Mumbai attacks case in Pakistan was left red-faced when a teacher of Ajmal Kasab — who was caught alive and later hanged — turned hostile and said Kasab was still alive.
Mudassir Lakhvi — the headmaster of a primary school in Faridkot where Ajmal Kasab studied for three years — told the anti-terrorism court in Rawalpindi that Kasab could be brought to the court if required.
The headmaster presented the educational records and stated that the person whose record was submitted was alive and could be produced in court if needed.
He had brought along with him records containing information on Ajmal Kasab’s school admission and exit which was already submitted in the court.
He said that he had met him a few days earlier.
