In yet another round of poster war in Uttar Pradesh, a poster in Gorakhpur shows BJP MP Yogi Adityanath as a tiger and superimposes the faces of non-BJP leaders on donkeys.
The poster, reportedly put up by some party members has the tag line which says “Abki baar, Yogi Sarkar” and signs off with “Bhago Yogi ji aa rahen hain”.
The poster is apparently linked to the growing demand to project Yogi Adityanath as chief ministerial candidate in UP.
The poster has photographs of Ms Mayawati, Mr Akhilesh Yadav, Mr Rahul Gandhi and Mr Asaduddin Owaisi superimposed on donkeys.
This poster is latest in the series of posters that have been put up by political workers. The BJP posters have depicted state BJP chief Keshav Maurya as Lord Krishna and Arjun of Mahabharata while a BSP poster shows Ms Mayawati as Goddess Kali.
The Congress in Kanpur had put up posters questioning the BJP’s “Chaal Chehra and Charitra” in the appointment of Mr Keshav Maurya as state head when he has criminal cases pending against him.
