A welder’s son created a sensation in the country particularly in Bihar by bagging a prestigious job in Microsoft Company. The boy Vatsalya Chauhan who belongs to Khagaria in Bihar gives credit of his success to his teachers in Kota.

“There was a time my performance had dropped and became disassociated with my regular studies and became interested in only research based studies but my teachers pulled me out as they had full confidence in me,” he said. Vatsalya Chauhan an IIT Kharagpur final year student said he is, “eagerly waiting for the day when he will leave for USA”. He is scheduled to leave for Redmond in Washington USA in October this year and has bagged an annual package of '1.02 crore with Microsoft company during a campus selection which was held in IIT Kharagpur. His father Chandra Kant Chauhan a small time welder, gas cutter and painter today feels that his son has become an “inspiration for other young students in the country”.

He while talking to this newspaper from Khagaria said, “I had full faith in my son and I am happy that very soon my son will begin his new life.” He said he earns only around '2 lakh annually and had been managing a family of eight persons. He said when his son first informed him about his selection in December he “couldn’t react and even broke down”.

He said, “I have no words to express my feelings, I can only feel it from inside I am a proud father.”
