Watch: Pro-Afzal Guru, Ishrat slogans resonate in Jadavpur University

Kolkata's Jadavpur University witnessed sloganeering by students making the atmosphere no different from JNU.

Mirroring the scenes from Jawaharlal Nehru University, protests from the premier institute has spilt over into other varsities across the country, with Kolkata's Jadavpur University setting stage to be the latest venue for the 'anti-national' protests and sloganeering.

\"Geelani bole azaadi, Afzal bole azaadi, jo tum na doge azaadi, toh chheen ke lenge azadi! (Geelani and Afzal demanded freedom. If freedom is denied, we will snatch it!),\" shouted JU students during their march inside the campus Tuesday evening.

Students also raised anti-Modi slogans like \"Modi ka Hindutva nahin sahenge, Modi ke Brahmangiri nahin sahenge.\"

Slogans were also raised in favour of Ishrat Jahan, who was gunned down by cops in an alleged fake encounter in Gujarat in June 2004.
