Uttar Pradesh: Girl raped by 5, video sent to her dad

A minor girl was gang raped by five men and when she refused to be blackmailed by the accused, the latter sent a video of the incident to her father and other relatives. The incident took place in Kalerkhedi village in Dilari in Moradabad district on May 26 when most of the men in the village had collected at one house to watch the IPL match Five men reportedly abducted the girl, when she was alone in her house, and took her at gunpoint to an abandoned house nearby and gang raped her. They also filmed the entire act. They warned the girl not to tell anyone about the incident or else they would shame her by making the video public.

According to Dilari SHO Sanjay Tomar, the girl returned home and told her family about the assault. The five accused men retaliated by uploading the video on social media and also sent it to villagers, including the girl’s father. The girl’s father has registered an FIR against the five men, identified as Ishaaq, Matloob, Waseem, Shahid and Talib, and one of them has been arrested. The police is searching for the remaining accused.
