The news of Rajkishor Singh’s death comes amidst announcement by Army that it had carried out a surgical strike along the LoC on Thursday.

New Delhi:

Soldier Naik Rajkishor Singh, who was wounded in the Uri attack on September 18, succumbed to his injuries in Delhi on Friday, taking the toll to 19.

Eighteen Indian soldiers were killed and several others injured when heavily-armed militants stormed a battalion headquarters of the Indian Army in North Kashmir's Uri town on September 18.

The news of Rajkishor Singh’s death comes amidst the announcement by the Indian Army that it had carried out a surgical strike along the LoC on Thursday, destroying 7 terror launch pads and killing at least 38 militants.
