Subramanian Swamy slamming Raghuram Rajan to hit at Jaitley, says Congress

Reacting to the criticism RBI governor Raghuram Rajan has been facing from certain quarters within the ruling BJP, including Rajya Sabha member Subramanian Swamy, the Congress on Wednesday said PM Narendra Modi’s silence on the issue showed “obvious complicity”. The Opposition party also tried to highlight the reported rivalry between Dr Swamy and finance minister Arun Jaitley, claiming “Raghuram Rajan toh bahana hai, Arun Jaitley nishana hai. (Mr Rajan is a ruse, Mr Jaitley is the real target).”

Dr Swamy had written to the PM this week, demanding that Dr Rajan be sacked immediately as he wants to “wreck” the Indian economy.
