Shivpal Yadav sacks nephew of Ram Gopal Yadav

State Samajwadi president Shivpal Singh Yadav on Sunday took his first major decision when he expelled party MLC Arvind Yadav for making derogatory remarks against party president Mulayam Singh Yadav and indulging in indiscipline.

Mr Arvind is the nephew of SP MP Prof Ram Gopal Yadav and this action is likely to trigger off a fresh round of war within the Yadav family. Mr Shivpal has also issued directives that all slogans must be for the party, party president and the chief minister — strictly in that order.

Mr Shivpal has warned that any factionalism in the party will not be tolerated.
