Patna: Lalu Yadav’s conviction in the fodder scam case has come as a setback for the RJD.

On Tuesday, his son Tejashwi Yadav met senior party leaders to discuss future strategies.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Mr Tejashwi Yadav said that his father Lalu Yadav became the victim of dirty politics and was sent to jail because he refused to bow down before the BJP.

“My father refused to change his DNA like others. That’s why he was sent to jail. The BJP is playing games in a different way it has been misusing investigating agencies to harass the Opposition. No matter what happens, we will continue our battle against the BJP,” former deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav said.
