Bhopal: As the high pitched campaigns for Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh ended on Wednesday afternoon, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his last message to the voters of the two poll-bound states, said that “people are angry with Congress, but have faith in BJP”.

In his X post, Mr Modi appealed to the voters of Madhya Pradesh to elect a BJP government in the November 17 assembly elections to ensure development of the state as well as the country.

“People have this unbreakable faith that only the BJP can make a developed state belonging to the 21st century”, he said.

Mr Modi said that people in Madhya Pradesh have witnessed the benefits of the double-engine government and felt its necessity.

The PM said that he has witnessed in the public meetings their deep anger with dynastic politics and negativity of Congress.

“The Congress has no vision or roadmap for the development of Madhya Pradesh”, he said.

Mr Modi cited his observations and experience during his campaign across the two states, exuding confidence that people supported BJP and rejected Congress.

The women voters particularly have made up their mind to return BJP to power in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh as BJP has set its goal for their empowerment in these two states, he said.

In his message to the voters in Chhattisgarh, he said that “The Congress is facing a rout in the elections. People have trust in the good governance of BJP and not the hollow promises of Congress”.

He said that the new generation are aligning their next 25 years with the country’s next 25 years and have been coming forward to make India a developed country.

Describing his experience during the campaign in Chhattisgarh as ‘wonderful and unprecedented’, he said that people of the state are full of new expectation and energy to make it better and know that the BJP can pull Chhattisgarh out of corruption and misrule.

The way OBC, SC and ST youths are joining BJP’s development model is very encouraging, he said.

In his campaigns in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, Modi had termed the poll promises made by BJP for the two states as ‘Modi’s guarantees’ to sell them to the voters.

Meanwhile, the high-voltage campaign in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh for November 17 assembly elections ended on Wednesday afternoon with several star campaigners of the two principal contenders for power in the two states, BJP and Congress, making last ditch efforts to woo voters till the dying hours of electioneering.

While Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union home minister Amit Shah had steered the nearly a month-long campaign of BJP in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge and AICC general secretary had campaigned extensively for the party in the two states in the last four weeks.

Besides, Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Union civil aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia were among the prominent star campaigners of BJP who campaigned extensively in Madhya Pradesh.

Similarly, Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel anchored the campaign of Congress in his state.

First phase of polling in Chhattisgarh in which 20 out of 90 assembly seats went to polls was held on November seven.
