New Delhi: The Supreme Court will hear on April 15 a petition filed by the producers of the Vivek Oberoi-starrer biopic film based on Prime Minister Narendra Modi challenging the Election Commission’s decision to stay the release of the film till the elections are completed in May.

A bench of Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi and Justices Deepak Gupta and Sanjiv Khanna agreed to hear the matter on Monday on a mention made for urgent listing of the case. He prayed for quashing the stay order and to allow the biopic to be released immediately.
