Dhar (Madhya Pradesh): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday chided leaders of the ‘Mahagathbandhan’ (grand alliance) who have questioned the veracity of the February 26 airstrike by Indian Air Force(IAF) on a Jaish-e-Mohmmad terror camp in Balakot in PoK, saying, “They have turned poster boys of Pakistan”.

“Some people from Mahamilawati (referring to grand alliance) have come forward to save Pakistan when the neighbouring country faced global isolation after the airstrike.

These people derided Modi in India and earned kudos in Pakistan. They hit headlines of Pakistan media and became Pakistan’s poster boys,” the PM said while blowing bugle for Lok Sabha elections for BJP in Madhya Pradesh from the tribal-dominated region of Dhar.

“Some of them have asked for evidence of the airstrike. Some are even questioning the casualties. As if this is not enough, these people are even calling Pakistan the messenger of peace,” he said, and added, “It seemed airstrike was carried out in Pakistan, but the jolt was received by these people”.

Mr Modi took a swipe at the Opposition leaders for backing Pakistan, stating sarcastically, “The Mahagathbandhan which was a national all-iance has now gone international by aligning with Pakistan”.

He regretted the Opposition leaders’ stand on airstrike, saying it might hit morale of brave jawans of the country.
