Aviation regulator DGCA has refused to allow any song and dance on flights mid-air on the forthcoming festival of Holi next month. Sources said an airline had informally floated the idea to the aviation regulator and had sought a meeting to discuss the matter. However, the aviation regulator refused to entertain any such idea, sources said.

The DGCA had recently cracked down on an incident in which the cabin crew of a flight had allowed well-known singer Sonu Nigam to use the public address system of the aircraft to sing a song without even informing the pilots, despite the fact that the flight was in descent.
