CID officials probing the second PU chemistry question paper leak case are most likely to arrest a few more teachers, including the principal of a college, in connection with the scam.
The revelations of the arrested five accused in connection with the case has hinted that the principal of a private college is also involved in the scam. “The questioning of PT teachers Anil and Satish has revealed that the principal of a private college was also involved in the case. He would be picked up very soon as the teams are hunting for him. Besides, the role of a few other teachers has emerged during the course of investigation. All suspects will be questioned in the coming days,” an official said. It is said that some of the members of the administrative boards of private colleges will also be interrogated as part of the probe. Anil and Santosh, who were arrested on Wednesday, were produced before in court on Thursday and remanded to police custody till April 16.
The police is now tracking the callers who contacted suspects Shivakumar, Dinesh and Kiran on March 20 and 30, a day before the exam and re-exam. Meanwhile, the police is also trying to know who made notes of the questions.
