India welcomed Pakistan's decision to send a special team to probe the Pathankot terror attack.

New Delhi:

India on Thursday welcomed Pakistan's decision to send a special team to probe the Pathankot terror attack and said the foreign secretary-level talks will be rescheduled in \"very near future\".

\"The two foreign secretaries have spoken and they have mutually decided to reschedule the talks,\" foreign ministry spokesman Vikas Swarup said on Thursday.

\"The action against those responsible for Pathankot is still going on, so the foreign secretaries must have thought to give some more time before going ahead with the meeting,\" the MEA spokesman said.

\"The government welcomes the proposed visit of Pakistani probe team and Indian investigative agencies will provide it all possible help,\" Vikas Swarup said.

India also welcomed the action taken by Pakistan against Jaish-e-Mohammad as \"important first positive step\" in the right direction.
