: French President Franois Hollande condemned the \"odious and cowardly attack\" in Burkina Faso, where al-Qaeda linked gunmen launched an assault against a restaurant and a hotel that has left 20 people dead.

\"French forces are providing support to Burkinabe forces,\" the president's office said in a statement Saturday, adding, \"The president expressed his full support to President (Roch Marc Christian) Kabore.\"
