DIPP secretary Amitabh Kant said, “Start-ups cut across the entire ecosystem. Everybody needs to create an ecosystem for start-ups. We are working together to create a unique ecosystem for them. We want the start-ups to grow and flourish. There are too many issues on compliance. The intention is that the government will keep itself away.”
“Our objective is to reinforce the commitment of the government to creating an ecosystem that is conducive for the growth of start-ups,” he added.
SoftBank president and chief operating officer Nikesh Arora will interact with participants on aspects relating to start-up funding.
The event will be a non-stop day long global workshop on start-up entrepreneurship. A unique question-and-answer session titled “Face-to-face with policymakers” has also being organised, in which the secretaries of key ministries and departments will respond on how the government will be creating an enabling ecosystem for start-ups. The aim is to reinforce the government’s commitment to creating an ecosystem conducive for the growth of start-ups, Mr Kant said.
