The Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting here on Tuesday will discuss a strategy against the Centre inside and outside Parliament against the “ordinance raj”, besides organisational issues related to the term of PCCs and others. This was indicated by the party here on Monday.

Although the party has made it clear that the apex decision-making body would discuss the “current political situation”, the Delhi Assembly polls next month are a major challenge before it. It is being held against the backdrop of the Congress’ defeat in the Maharashtra, Haryana, Jharkhand and Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections held after the Lok Sabha polls in the last eight months. It is unclear whether the CWC meeting would announce an action plan against the policies of the Centre or wait for feedback from grassroots workers. It has asked the PCCs to prepare a report on the feedback on the basis of consultations.
