Bhubaneswar: A minor girl, who was allegedly gangraped by four armed jawans of an unidentified wing of Central paramilitary forces at a forest near Kunduli on October 10, released a video saying that the cops forced her to name her brothers and uncles as culprits.

In the video, she said, “The local police once came to my house at 12 midnight and told me that I am lying. They also told me that one of my cousin brothers has confessed that he was involved in the incident. Though I denied it, they still went on questioning me.”

The video was probably recorded at Koraput’s SLN Medical College where she is undergoing treatment.

“The cops, who had come in civil dress, then interrogated me in front of my brother, who was earlier questioned by them as a suspect in the case. ‘DIG madam’ (S. Saini) who also arrived, told me that I am lying,” the victim added. The innocent villagers, most of them belonging to scheduled caste and scheduled tribe communities, have started cursing her after the incident. They are holding her responsible for the ordeal of her family members. “When my brothers, uncles are being questioned in the case, the villagers are cursing me. They are saying that I should have died so that my relatives would not have been subjected to such atrocious treatment,” she said.
