Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh police on Thursday dropped sedition charges against 15 Muslim youths arrested in Burhanpur district’s Mohad town for celebrating the Pakistan cricket team’s triumph over India in the ICC Champions Trophy final on June 18.

“We have... retained charges under section 153 (a) (disturbing communal harmony) slapped against them”, Burhanpur district superintendent of police R.R.S. Parihar said.
