At least five pending judicial requests including one relating to 1984 anti-Sikh riots witness, along with several extradition pleas from India, may be discussed between CBI director Anil Sinha and Royal Canadian Mounted Police Commissioner Bob Paulson, who is on a visit to India.
Mr Paulson, who will be delivering D.P. Kohli memorial lecture on Thursday on policing in 21st century, will hold discussions with the CBI director.
Sources said at least five Letters Rogatory or judicial requests related to a corruption case, a cyber crime and examination of a witness of 1984 anti-Sikh riots involving a Congress politician are likely to crop up during the discussion. The CBI took over investigation in the FIR registered at the Bara Hindu Rao police station relating to anti-Sikh riots at Gurdwara Pulbangash in north Delhi where three people were killed on November 1, 1984, a day after the assassination of then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
The agency filed a closure report and claimed it could not get in touch with Narinder Singh, son of an eyewitness believed to be in Canada.
