With the BJP leadership, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party president Amit Shah, stressing on strengthening the organisation and reaching out to people, a meeting of party’s Rajya Sabha MPs is likely to take place on August 31.
Ahead of that party leadership, including Mr Modi and Mr Shah, will hold a meeting of chief ministers of BJP-ruled states on August 27.
The party leadership had held a meeting of core group leaders of its state units on Tuesday. These exercises are being seen by many as an effort to make the party battle-ready for the upcoming Assembly elections in many key states as well as the 2019 general elections.
With Maharashtra Sadan, the venue of BJP CMs’ meeting, the SPG took stock of the security measures with the Sadan’s senior staff on Wednesday.
