In yet another remark that is bound to kick up a row, BJP MP Yogi Aditynath said on Monday that Nobel laureate Mother Teresa was part of a “conspiracy for Christianisation of India”. “She was a part of a plan to Christianise India. Efforts to Christianise the country had led to separatist movements in parts of Northeast, including Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Meghalaya and Nagaland. You all are unaware of the situation in Northeast and you should visit these places to see the real situation,” the BJP MP said while addressing Ram Katha programme in Basti district. The BJP MP further said that no one can prevent the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya.

“When no one could not stop karsevaks from demolishing the Babri mosque, how can they now stop us from carrying out the construction ” he asked.

Referring to the alleged Hindu migration from Kairana, he said that when Hindus were forced to leave Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan, no political party raised the issue of intolerance. “Exodus of Hindus from Kairana is a result of pseudo-secularism and appeasement policies pursued by different governments in UP. It is because of such policies that the population of Hindus, which was once 68 per cent, has come down to 8 per cent (in Kairana),” he said.
