Bihar youth gets ‘offer’ to join Pak ISI

The state police launched an investigation after a youth lodged a written complaint with the police regarding an unidentified call from Pakistan trying to lure him into joining ISI. Mukesh Kumar, a student of intermediate, had lodged a written complaint at the Bhabhua police station in Kaimur district on Friday. In his statement to the police, he mentioned that he had received a phone call from an unidentified Pakistan number who tried to lure him by offering him a huge amount of money if he joined the Pakistan-based ISI network.

The police said, Mukesh who works as part time salesman received the call on Friday morning. The matter was forwarded to the state headquarters by Kaimur Superintendent of police Harpreet Kaur for further investigation. “This is not the lone case of allurement which has come to light earlier also several youths of the state had lodged similar complaints regarding unidentified phone calls being received by them with an intention lure them into joining ISI or other Pakistani based organisation which promoted terrorism,” said the officer.
