Yogi Adityanath sets aside Rs 1000 crore for start-ups

Yogi reiterated his government’s commitment to creating more jobs and helping new business initiatives.

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath said that his government has earmarked Rs 1000 crore for aiding start-ups in the state. The chief minister, on Wednesday, flagged off a ‘Start-up Bus Yatra’ in the state capital and made a strong pitch for start-ups.

Mr Yogi reiterated his government’s commitment to creating more jobs and helping new business initiatives. He said that a start-up app would be launched soon by the state government and call centres would also be opened.

“When Uttar Pradesh rises, the nation will,” he said while addressing the gathering. Mr Yogi said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also rolled out many schemes and projects in this direction. “Every person has a unique talent and the need is to harness it. The state government will act as a facilitator in providing opportunities to the young minds”, he said. He assured the youth that the government was working for the welfare and would not pander to vote bank politics.

Meanwhile, the start-up bus will visit all district headquarters and major tehsils and the youth will be exhorted to take up self-employment. The bus will complete its journey on October 10 in Lucknow.
