New Delhi: Cricketer-turned-comedian-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu’s wife, Navjot Kaur Sidhu, and former hockey player Pargat Singh on Monday joined the Congress party.

Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee chief Captain Amarinder Singh had on Wednesday announced that Navjot Kaur and Pargat would officially join the party on Monday.

Negotiations between Congress and Aawaz-e-Punjab chief Navjot Singh Sidhu has been on for a long time but after Bains brothers, who were also part of the front, tied up with AAP, options seemed to be limited for Sidhu and his wife.
