Adityanath slams Opposition for boycotting Assembly session

The chief minister announced that on the lines of the National Disaster Response Force, his government would set up a State Disaster Response Force.

Lucknow: UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath slammed the Opposition for boycotting Assembly proceedings during the Budget Session that ended on Thursday.

Wrapping up the discussion on the Budget in the Assembly, even as the Opposition continued it boycott, the chief minister said, “Truth is bitter and not everyone can digest it. It seems that the Opposition too cannot digest it.”

He said that he could not understand why the Opposition is boycotting the Assembly proceedings. “Chandni raat choron ko acchi nahin lagti,” he stated amidst applause.

The chief minister announced that on the lines of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), his government would set up a State Disaster Response Force. He said that his four-month-old government had recorded a decline in the crime rate.
