Lucknow: The Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) has expressed its displeasure over the failure of the Yogi government to take firm action against the bureaucracy.

At a meeting held here recently, RSS leaders clearly told deputy chief ministers Keshav Maurya and Dinesh Sharma that the bureaucracy must be reined in at the earliest. BJP organising secretary Sunil Bansal was also present at the meeting.

Sources said that the Sangh was particularly upset at the mishandling of the Gorakhpur incident in which 30 children died during 24 hours.

“The matter was handled in an insensitive manner with a minister claiming that it is normal’ for more deaths to take place in August’. The state government should have set some top heads rolling but nothing of the sort has happened. The incident is a major blot on the government,” said a Sangh leader. The Sangh is also unhappy over the role of bureaucracy in the case related to recovery of “explosive” in the UP Assembly.
