Bhubaneswar: The Malkangiri police on Tuesday arrested the headmaster and an assistant teacher of a residential school in Dangala in the Malkangiri block in the district on charges of misbehaving with girl students.

Besides, the two have also been suspended from their posts by the district administration.

The move came after a Class 7 girl student lod-ged a written complaint with the district collector against headmaster Prabhat Lakra and teacher Ajay Kumar Das a few days ago.

As per the complaint, the teachers used to misbehave with girls staying in the school hostel in inebriated condition. In fact, a girl left the hostel and quit her studues after allegedly being harassed by the two teachers.
