New Delhi: Expelled AIADMK Member of Parliament, Sasikala Pushpa, has moved the Supreme Court for a direction to order an impartial probe into the mysterious circumstances regarding the death of former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, J. Jayalalithaa, at Apollo hospital on the December-5 night.

In her writ petition, Ms Pushpa said the suspicious circumstances, arbitrary suppression of the state of health and the silence of the authorities of not even investigating the death of a populist democratically elected leader violates the fundamental right of the Petitioner enshrined under Articles 14 and 21 of the Constitution to have a fair and uninfluenced investigation in an alleged crime, which has deep lying implications on the petitioner in her representative capacity, the people of Tamil Nadu and the country as a whole.

The circumstances surrounding the death of Jayalalithaa and the secrecy maintained raises serious questions among all sections of society, which remains unanswered and uninvestigated.
