‘Shahrukh’ held in UP for threatening Salman

The accused has now told the police that he got the contact numbers of the actor and his family from a social networking site.

The man was tracked and arrested by the cyber police through surveillance of his mobile phone number. Further investigations are on.

Lucknow: The UP police has arrested one ‘Shahrukh’ for allegedly threatening actor Salman Khan’s father Salim Khan.

The accused Shahrukh Ghulam Nabi was arrested from Prayagraj district after the actor’s personal assistant Bibash Chaya lodged a complaint with the police in Mumbai.

According to police reports, the accused telephoned Mr Chaya and sought a meeting with Salman Khan.

When Mr Chaya refused, the accused contacted the actor’s father and writer Salim Khan and claimed that he worked for gangster Chhota Shakeel. He also threatened Salim Khan with dire consequences if he was not allowed to meet the actor.

The accused has now told the police that he got the contact numbers of the actor and his family from a social networking site. However, the police suspect that he got the numbers from somebody else stationed in the state.

The man was tracked and arrested by the cyber police through surveillance of his mobile phone number. Further investigations are on.
