New Delhi: Union water resources minister Uma Bharati on Wednesday said in the Lok Sabha that both the governments of UP and MP will have to work out a mutual water-sharing agreement to begin work on the Ken-Betwa River Link Project.

Answering questions related to the much delayed project, she said that the NDA government has already declared it as a national project and despite the previous UPA regime having kept it on the backburner, both the states should now fast track it and finalise the water-sharing agreement as it will help their interests in the long run.
