New Delhi: The RSS shadow will continues to loom large in the BJP, which is expected to see atleast three new RSS men replacing fellow pracharks in the saffron party organisation. Also, the long awaited reshuffle in BJP president Amit Shah’s team could take place after the meeting of Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh’s Akhil Bhartiya Pratinidhi Sabha in March. The meeting of the RSS’ all-powerful decisi-on-making body is scheduled to take place in Nagpur, the Sangh’s headquarters.

Sources disclosed RSS’ kshetra pracharak of western UP, Alok, could be deputed in the BJP at a key position. Also, speculation is rife that the current general secretary (organisation) in the saffron party, Ramlal, who has been holding this important post for nearly a decade, could be promoted as a governor. The post of general secretary (organisation) in the BJP and its state units are held by RSS men.

Similarly, two other RSS functionaries in the central BJP could be repla-ced by fellow pracharks. Other than Mr Ramlal, there are currently four joint general secretaries (organisation) in the BJP.

Sources disclos-ed with Assembly elections in key states, including Kartan-aka, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh and Rajast-han, scheduled this year, “new faces” from these states could be accommodated in Mr Shah’s team. Many positions in the BJP’s central team, inclu-ding some general secretaries and vice-preside-nts, are pending as some leaders were accomodated in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s team, while some are now part of UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath’s council of ministers. Ever since Mr Shah took over the helm of the BJP, the central team has not seen any major reorganisation.

Other than the BJP, the RSS could also make significant changes in its state and regional teams. Sources disclosed though speculation is rife that RSS’ second-in-command, Bhaiyya Joshi, who is not keeping well, could be replaced. The RSS supremo, Mohan Bhagwat, however, is in favour of Mr Joshi continuing at the post.
