‘Pak flags’ in 3 temples: tension grips MP village

Bhopal: Tension gripped a village in Madhya Pradesh after Pakistani flags were found being hoisted atop three temples in the area early on Tuesday morning. The incident took place in Samnapur under Dindori district, the police said.

Locals staged demonstration in the village demanding immediate arrest of miscreants involved in the incident. They saw a conspiracy by mischievous elements to disturb communal harmony in the area.

Dindori district collector Amit Tomar and local superintendent of police Bipul Srivastav rushed to the spot to bring the situation under control, official sources said.

They tried to pacify the people assuring them that the culprits would be brought to book.

They also appealed the locals to ensure communal harmony and peace. Security forces have been deployed in the village to prevent any untoward incident, police said.

According to the Dind-ori district SP, flags with green and white stripes were spotted atop three temples in the village.
