Bhopal: A ruling BJP MLA of Madhya Pradesh has created a flutter by describing chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan the “25th avatar of God”.

Shajapur legislator Arun Bhimawat deified the chief minister by calling him as the “God” while he was addressing a farmers’ rally at Bikalakhadi in Shajapur district on Friday.

“Our chief minister has taken care of all sections of people from young to old and from poor to rich. No other chief minister earlier has done so much for people of all walks in life as Mr Chouhan did”, he told the gathering.

His speech went viral in social media on Saturday drawing ridicules from the followers. He was in fact trolled for his comment by them.

Reacting to Mr Bhimavad’s comment, Congress leader Ramveer Singh Sikarwar said that farmers were killed in police firing and crimes in state are on rise, so it was ridiculous to call state chief minister an avatar of God.
