Mumbai: 1 dead after helicopter crashes in Aarey Colony

Mumbai: A helicopter crashed and caught fire in Mumbai on Sunday, killing the pilot and injuring three passengers, police said.

Police officer Surya Vanshi said the helicopter crashed in an open area in the Goregaon section of Mumbai. The cause of the accident was being investigated.

The injured passengers were shifted to Seven Hills hospital in Mumbai.

The crashed helicopter was Robinson R44, a 1992 model that was originally owned by Pawan Hans, but was later sold to a private aviation company Aman Aviation that uses the helicopter for providing joy rides.
