Bhopal: The Bharat Bandh call in protest against spiralling fuel prices and the sliding rupee value on Monday evoked a mixed response in Madhya Pradesh.

Shop owners across MP appeared divided on the Congress-sponsored strike with the functioning of markets in different parts of the state being affected partially following the bandh call.

Barring stray scuffles between police and Congress workers, the day passed off peacefully.
