UP Hindu is caught as LeT terrorist in Kashmir

The Army said that two militants were killed by it in the Nowgam sector along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara district on Sunday night.

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir police on Monday claimed it arrested a Hindu man from Uttar Pradesh who had joined Lashkar-e-Tayyaba in attacking  the Army, looting ATMs and concealing arms snatched from the security forces.  

Sandeep Kumar Sharma alias Adil was also involved in the killing of six policemen, including station house officer Feroz Ahmed Dar, in Anantnag’s Acchabal area on June 16, IGP (Kashmir range) Munir Ahmed Khan said in Srinagar on Monday.  

Sharma and his associate Muneeb Shah from Kulgam district carried out robberies before joining the Lashkar-e-Tayyaba group that was led by Bashir Ahmed Wani.

Meanwhile, the Army said that two militants were killed by it in the Nowgam sector along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara district on Sunday night.
