Lucknow: The Opposition is up in arms over police officials in Uttar Pradesh going on helicopter rides in western Uttar Pradesh to shower rose petals on Kanwariyas.

Video clips of ADG (Meerut zone) Prashant Kumar, in his uniform, throwing rose petals from the helicopter have gone viral on the social media .

UPCC president Raj Babbar said, “Police officials are supposed to be neutral in matters of religion and caste. They had no business showering flowers on Kanwariyas.”
