Jashodaben takes holy dip in Ganga

Lucknow: Prime Minister Narendra Modi's wife Jashodaben took a holy dip in the Ganga River in Allahabad on Friday.

She was in the city with her relatives to attend a wedding.  

Accompanied by her brother, she also visited the Akshayvat tree and prayed at the iconic 'Bade Hanuman' temple.

Ms Jashodaben was recognised by some locals who asked her for selfies and she happily obliged. Earlier, on Thursday evening, she asked parents to give right values to their children, particularly girls. She also appreciated the 'Beti Padhao, Beti Badhao' programme.
