Special puja to get BJP fourth consecutive term in power.

Baba Ramlal Kashyap

Bhopal: A bizarre row has erupted over a “tantric” performing a “special puja” in the premises of Chhattisgarh Assembly to “ensure fourth consecutive term” in power in the state for the ruling BJP in the year-end polls.

The “tantric” sporting vermilion on his forehead and necklaces of weird metallic objects was spotted inside the Chhattisgarh assembly on Thursday rubbing shoulders with VVIPS, including chief minister Raman Singh and Speaker Gouri Shankar Agrawal.

The ‘Baba’, who identified himself as Ramlal Kashyap of Mulmula village under Janjgir-Champa district in Chhattisgarh, later told the local media that he had performed a special pooja inside the premises of the Assembly seeking divine intervention to get BJP fourth consecutive term in power in Chhattisgarh in the forthcoming assembly polls, due in November this year.

Ramlal’s strange appearance had turned him a centre of attraction in the Chhattisgarh Assembly.

According to him, his necklaces of metallic objects which included an image of a deity made of bronze have been anointed to invoke supernatural powers. Ramlal is a local BJP leader and has been visiting the Chhattisgarh assembly for the past two decades.
