Lucknow: The Hindu Jagran Manch, an affiliate of the RSS, is planning a massive “reverse love jihad” programme under which 2,100 Muslim girls will be married to Hindu boys.

The “reverse love jihad” programme is being launched by the right wing outfit form Uttar Pradesh and will be carried out over the next six months, a leader said.

Manch activists will also try and convince Muslim college girls to marry Hindu boys to shield themselves from ills like second marriage or ‘talaq’ prevalent in their community.

Hindu Jagran Manch (HJM) state president Ajju Chauhan told a select group of reporters in Agra that the time had come to give a “befitting reply” to those who promote “love jihad” — a term used to describe a Muslim man marrying a Hindu lover and making her convert to Islam later.

Mr Chauhan said on Thursday, “We will give the reply in the same language — the one they understand. We are giving a target to all district units and aim to welcome at least 2,100 Muslim daughters-in-law into Hindu households. I am confident that we will fulfil the target,” he said.

The Manch leader said that his organisation was already aware of about 150 Hindu men who are in love with Muslim women and want to marry them. “We will encourage them and provide all support,” he said.

He said that HJM activists will visit Hindu households that men marriageable age and convince them to welcome Muslim daughters-in-law since this would be the biggest service to Hinduism. “We will not only support them but also provide full security,” he added.

Manch activists also plan to visit colleges having a large number of Muslim girls students.

“We will interact with Muslim girls and convince them that they will be safer and happier if they marry Hindu boys because there will be no threat of second marriage or ‘talaq’. Besides, Hindu families are more liberal than Muslim families,” he explained.

 Mr Chauhan said that unlike Muslim men, the Hindu men will not hide their true identity while wooing Muslim women.

Asked whether his outfit also planned to convert the Muslim women who marry Hindus, Mr Chauhan said, “Once the girl marries into a Hindu family as per Hindu traditions, she automatically becomes a Hindu. There is no need to use force.”
