Television star Matt LeBlanc has revealed in an interview that after his hit TV show Friends had ended —along with his marriage — he was close to a nervous breakdown, calling those years of his life a “very dark time”.

Matt told The Mirror, “For years and years, I barely left the house. I was burnt out. I wanted to not have a schedule, not be somewhere... Most actors call their agents and say, ‘What’s going on ’. I’d call mine and say, ‘Please lose my number for a few years’. It was a very dark time. I almost had a nervous breakdown.” Matt will soon be seen as one of the new hosts of automobile TV show Top Gear.
