Harrison Ford becomes highest-grossing actor

Veteran actor Harrison Ford has just become the highest-grossing Hollywood star of all time, with his catalogue of 41 films grossing a total of $4.7 billion in box office earnings. The record was previously held by his Star Wars franchise co-star Samuel L. Jackson, who raked in $4.6 billion, according to Box Office Mojo.

Harrison shot to fame when he played the role of Han Solo in the original Star Wars trilogy, a role he reprised for the franchise’s seventh instalment Star Wars: The Force Awakens which earned $770 million at the box office making it the highest grossing North American movie in Hollywood history.

The Indiana Jones star reportedly earned $20 million for the film.
